Welcome to the Historic Cabins at Highwood Creek!

Located in the Highwood Mountains, just 42 miles east of Great Falls and adjacent to the Arrowpeak Lodge, the Historic Cabins at Highwood Creek feature two unique, private cabin sites nestled in towering evergreen trees along Highwood Creek.

For over one-hundred years, the cabins and the surrounding land were for the private use of family and friends. Then in the spring of 2015, Stephenson Ranch, the property owner, decided that the cabins should be enjoyed by all. For the next eight-months improvements were made to the cabins while keeping their rustic charm and historic significance. Now, they are available to you and your family!

In addition to the 40-acres on which the cabins sit the property provides private access to  Highwood Creek, where you will find rainbow, cutthroat, brook and brown trout. Your Host, Dave has caught several 3, 4 and 5-pounders! All were released and could be waiting for you.

The Historic Cabins at Highwood Creek are owned by the Stephenson Ranch and are managed by the Arrowpeak Lodge. For information about the facility please call Facilities Director, Dave Snuggs at 406-231-8690. The Historic Cabins at Highwood Creek are available for the enjoyment of the public between June 1st and October 31st. No hunting of any kind is allowed on the immediate property, however guests renting a cabin may access the forest service from a designated gate on the property during the archery hunting season with an approved tag.
